Who is Smiling Pug?

My photo
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
"I am a happy pug therefore.... I am a smiling pug"! My mum is called Smilingpug... after me! Because of her love of animals and nature, she is a Buddhist and a vegetarian (thank god). She is most inspired by the Dalai Lama. We live on the West Coast of Canada and I share my home with my two older feline sisters Tika and Kizzy and my NEW little brother Sam Cooper who... is all the way from MidSouth Pug Rescue in Tennessee!! I am 11 and I don't walk to well anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't get around! Welcome to my blog.

A photo collage

So here are some photos taken in the last month. Please note the "broken stairs". Winston has or had a small set of steps to allow him ease of getting on the bed. Last Monday at 2AM he jumped on the steps to get into bed as we were going to sleep and there was a loud crack then crashing of wood. Yup, the steps are broken beyond repair. I guess my big boy was just too big for them. Some of the other photos were taken at Barnet Marine park on a gorgeous sunny day just after all the winter nighmare of snow. He was a happy boy digging in the sand and running on the beach. The girls were caught lounging one afternoon and I caught some cute shots of them. And then there is my favourite picture of our pug pal Dickens. Walt sent this one to me of their walk in Lynn Valley. I just love the photo!

South Surrey Saturday

Yeah! today was pug meet-up at Blackie Spit in South Surrey. I was super excited as it has been a while since we got together with the pug group but also my pug pal Dickens was going. Mum and I got there around noon but when we met up with Dickens we broke free from the pack and walked the trails. There were eagles high up in trees watching us. Mum was not worried at all as she made some kind of joke about "an eagle not having a chance in hell of lifting her big boy off the ground in it's talons". We also met another pug, Reggie, after the walk when we stopped for burritos. He was super cute and had loads of energy. Then another guest joined us for lunch, a ferret, Munchkin! This was my first time seeing one and I was super curious. Dickens on the other had got super excited as he thought is was so much like a squirrel and he just had "chasing" on his mind! Anyway here are some photos mum took of the day.
