Who is Smiling Pug?

My photo
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
"I am a happy pug therefore.... I am a smiling pug"! My mum is called Smilingpug... after me! Because of her love of animals and nature, she is a Buddhist and a vegetarian (thank god). She is most inspired by the Dalai Lama. We live on the West Coast of Canada and I share my home with my two older feline sisters Tika and Kizzy and my NEW little brother Sam Cooper who... is all the way from MidSouth Pug Rescue in Tennessee!! I am 11 and I don't walk to well anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't get around! Welcome to my blog.

Phew Christmas is tiring stuff!

Happy New Year's Eve every puggy.

Here are pictures from our Christmas. Mum says that after the writing of the letters and squabbles over certain incidents (who was at fault!)... incidents that Santa might consider us naughty, we woke ups on the big day to lots of presents.

So first here are the letters.

Dear Fat Man in Red
I was a super good girl this year. I shared all our toys with my sister. I tried not to hog the food bowl.I only stuck my paw into the garbarator to pull out food just once this year. I did NOT dig holes in the garden.... come on I am a cat. Dogs dig holes !!! Also please don't hold me accountable for the pork chop incident. The pug did that not me. The pork chop found it's way to the carpet from Dad's plate when Winston jumped on the table. But go easy on him, remember Tika and the donuts. We did attack the box and Tika did rat us out by NOT licking the white powder off her nose. But you still gave us great gifts that year. Anyway, I really would love some nice fresh catnip and some furry mice to go with it.
Luv Kizzy

Dear Santa,
I have been a really good cat this year as I always am every year. May I remind you that donut incident was instigated by Kizzy not me. I was super good this year about not pooping in the bath tub even when Mum forgot to clean the litter box one morning. I tried hard not to instigate fights with my sister only to have her beat me up. I am sorry I gave Mum and Kizzy attitude when Kizzy returned from the vet.... but they did smell funny. I hope to find a nice slab of ham in my stocking, (maybe leave it in the fridge so it doesn't go off, Mum might get mad if my stocking starts to smell). I would also like some more cat toys, I am not fussy but, I really like the fuzzy mice.
Luv Tika

Dear Santa Paws,
I have been a good boy all year. Let me starts by saying the pork chop incident was Kizzy not me. I can not possibly get on the table and Mum will vouch for that too! Please don't get mads at me for the large pot holes in the garden..... that was the cats. I was pretty goods about sharing my toys. I did not sit and bark at molecules in the air just to annoy Mum (well she thinks I am barking at nothing but I do hear things she doesn't). I was really goods for the vets and I was super goods for Mum when she would groom me, I was not wiggly. For Christmas I would luv a new squeaky toy. I luv the chicken stixs treats by NRG so I would appreciate a bag of those too. I would luvs a plane ticket to Virginia so I cans visit Tuni (that one is probably way too much to ask for but hey worth the try) Oh and if you could do something about the grey cat in our house I would really like that best. Perhaps a one way ticket to the North Pole?
Luv Winston

Now for the pictures

First off we went into the yard to see if we could find any evidence of Santa even being here.

Kizzy thought he may have crushed the bamboo with his sleigh but nope he did not.

I looked for tracks in the frosty grass but I founds none!

Tika thought that she may find tracks in the garden soil but there were none there too!

Santa is sneaky, then Mum said somethings about the roof. We were too scared to check that out, ok well Kizzy said she would but Mum said NO to dangerous!

I gots busted trying to sneak into my presents early. Do I looks guilty.... Mum says I do.

Here I am opening my gifts. I got lots of treats and toys.
This is me posing just before I was allowed to tear into my gifts.

MMMMMM chicken stix

Here I am showing offs my new pillow that Mum made for me!
It is brown with dog bones on it.

After the excitement we cuddled down for some ZZZZZZZ

Kizzy tooks a good photo for Mum

Tika was super exhausted

So was I. I gets super excited then I get so tired.

Later I hung out and chewed on my squeaky toy from Tuni

Now Mum and I are watching TVs while we waits for midnight to welcome in 2010

Happy Holidays and Thank You

Let me first start by saying that we want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday. We are so grateful for all the new friends we have met through our blog. We love you all. Now here is Winston!

Hi everypug, I have to shows you what I got yesterday. My new friend Penny sent me a holiday gift!

Mum came home and found another package at the door for me.

She lets me open it right away. She promised that if any package came in the mail for me for Christmas that I did not have to wait until Christmas Day to open it. So I set about ripping it open.

Mum kept fussing over me to be still while I was opening it. She wanted to get some pictures but I was way to excited. Here is an action shot of me shaking it about. (Mum here..... Thank goodness, Winston, it wasn't breakable!)

I finally got into it. Looks at the envelope. (Don't worry Penny, for your privacy I have blurred out your address)

Looks what I gots! Oh Thank You Penny and Penny's Mum.

A card and a toy! The card looks like Penny's mum may have mades it and I luvs the new toy and set about playing with it right away. (Well after a scene of whimpering and barking while I took of the cardboard backing!)

I lay on the couch and played with it then it fell off the couch so I had to yelp to Mum to get it for me and put it back on the couch. I haves Mum so well trained! BOL. (yes he does, here he is just staring at it and whimpering which is the queue for "come on Mum pick it up for me I am not getting down there to get it.... too much effort")

So on that note I will mention that Mum and I tooks Dickens to Petsmart for picture with Santa Paws and Mum was not happy when we gots there to find out that they had cancelled it. They said it was due to the facts they ran out of the Christmas photo frames. We tolds them we didn't want the frame just the picture but they said without the frames left they weren't doing pictures. They said it was something to do with the Heads Office. Whatever we was super disappointed!

So here is me with the Grinch. This is from last years. I luved the Grinch. He was nice and green.

In case yous interested.... here is the link to my last year posts for Christmas

We haven't dones our Christmas Wish List yet. Mum says we will do it tonights and gets it ready for Santa when he comes TONIGHT!!!!!!!

Happy Christmas everyones.

Christmas Holidays with Dickens

Ok Hi everyone.... first of all let's clarify that I am not referring to A Christmas Carole by Charles Dickens. I am talking abouts my pug pal Dickens. He is sleeping over until Mondays. His Dad is in Edmonton. We boths agree better him than us pugs. We hears it is super colds in Edmonton.

I luvs it when I see Dickens. We hang out, have snacks and swap the latest news. I happened to mention Tuni's sister Sequoia . He seemed very interested in her.... he thought she was "one hot pug and super cute".

At lunch time we wents to Deer Lake for walkies.

Me, Mum and Dickens

Then we gots in the car and headed to Home Depot for more stuffs for the house renos. Mum is still moving my stuffs around while they reno. She says so that it doesn't get in the ways. Anyway, here is Dickens helping pick out living room baseboards.

Here we ares paying for the paint

Then we gots to stop at McDonalds drive thru for coffee. Well we had water, Mum had coffee.

Now we are at home resting up. Later we are going to visit Granny. Here we are watching TV's.

Dickens

Me (Mum got mad at me for gazing out the window and barking at all the people I could see way off in the distance, across the street at the college campus) apparently I was being too loud she couldn't hear the TV!

Bookends  Arm Ends

Dickens fell asleep while I continued to bark at the window

Close ups of Me

Close ups of Dickens

I decided that I was dones barking at the activity outside because I saw that the TV show needed barking at. I hates to see any kinds of animal on TV even animated ones. Here I am barking at an animated dog.

Mum gots tired of me barking so we came upstairs to post all these pictures on my blog.

(I really need Santa Paws to see these next 2 pictures. I need him to see that I have been a very good pug.  I do share with my siblings!)

I shared my blanket.... Tika having a nap all tucked in with MY puppy blanket. Isn't she cutes!

This next one was really hards for me as I am super selfish with my things from my pug luv Tuni......

I let Kizzy play with MY new ball from Tuni. Looks how she fell asleep with it. This is cutes too!

I thinks they are both dreaming of full stockings and Santa Paws. I am wishing for a full stocking because I have been so good with sharing! Do you think Santa will agree?

The new laundry Hamper

Mum went to Ikea the other day. She came homes with this.

It was only $5.00 and is made of a silicone like plastics. She placed it in the laundry room and announced that me and my cat siblings have our own laundry hamper. With all this rains we have had Mum says I have gone through lots of towels. She said the hamper is to be shared by all 3 of us buts I have the most laundry.

On the weekend we went though my toy box. Mum said with Christmas coming we should throw out any broken and ripped toys and pass the ones I don't play with anymore onto a less fortunate dog. So we wents through my toys that are in my new toy area.

Here is a picture of my toy area for those who missed that blog post
(Tuni, see my toys from yous.... in the front on the floor. They are my favourites now)

Mum then collected all my toys that we decided to keeps and announced that they should be placed into the hamper for laundry day as they were dirty and smelly.

Here are my dirty toys in my new hamper.

I watched Mum, from the couch, go through my dirty toys. She sniffed each one to see just how smelly they were and if they were stinky enough to need a wash.

Here they are.... in the machine getting washed.

They are now nice and clean and dried from the dryer. I am ready for Santa Paws to bring me some new toys.

Speaking of which we put this up on the weekend.

We usually likes to help but Kizzy and Tika were off sleeping upstairs, Mum gave them too much catnip! And I had played hard at the beach in the afternoon that I started to help.....

Here I am helping with the tree stand. But I gots really sleepy and ended up doing this instead.

Mum thinks I looks like a seal when I sleeps like this.

When I woke up I saw that our pawkings were hung on the fireplace.

Mine is the one on the bottom, it has a pug on it. I am a bit concerned it may be too small for all my stuff from Santa Paws. Don't you thinks it looks a lot smaller then Kizzy and Tika's? Mum said not to worry if things don't fit Santa Paws will leave it under the tree.

This last picture is for Tuni. Looks where I put my stocking you gaves me.

Mum placed it on the bottom of the tree at my levels so I can see/sniff it whenever I wants to!
